About the Journal

Prism (ISSN: 1448-4404) is a multidisciplinary academic journal that provides a scholarly platform for original research and critical academic contributions across diverse fields of study. The journal welcomes manuscripts that contribute meaningful theoretical, empirical, methodological, or interdisciplinary insights to existing scholarship. Authors are encouraged to submit work that demonstrates academic originality, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and relevance to contemporary research.

Submission of Manuscripts

Authors should submit manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The submission should represent original scholarly work and should be prepared in accordance with accepted academic and ethical standards. Where a manuscript has multiple authors, all listed authors should have made a meaningful contribution to the research and should have approved the final version submitted to the journal. The corresponding author should ensure that all necessary information relating to the manuscript and its authors is accurately provided at the time of submission.

Scope and Relevance

The journal welcomes research papers, review articles, conceptual papers, theoretical contributions, empirical studies, case studies, methodological papers, and other scholarly contributions relevant to multidisciplinary research. Manuscripts may address issues within a particular discipline or explore subjects that connect two or more academic fields. Authors should ensure that their submissions are appropriate for the broad multidisciplinary scope of Prism and make a clear contribution to academic knowledge.

Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise, and academically appropriate language. Authors should use consistent terminology, headings, formatting, citations, references, tables, figures, and other scholarly elements throughout the manuscript. The manuscript should normally include a suitable title, author information, institutional affiliation, abstract, keywords, main text, conclusion or concluding observations, and references, as appropriate to the nature of the submission. Authors should structure the manuscript logically so that the research problem, objectives, methodology, findings, discussion, and contribution can be understood clearly.

Title and Abstract

The title should accurately and concisely reflect the content of the manuscript. Authors should provide an informative abstract that briefly presents the purpose or research problem, methodology or approach, principal findings, and major conclusions or implications. The abstract should be understandable independently of the main text and should avoid unnecessary citations, unexplained abbreviations, and excessive technical terminology. A suitable set of keywords should also be provided to facilitate indexing and discoverability.

Research Articles

Research articles should clearly identify the research problem, objectives or research questions, relevant literature, theoretical or conceptual foundation where applicable, methodology, analysis, findings, discussion, and conclusion. Authors should provide sufficient methodological information to allow readers to understand how the research was conducted and how the conclusions were reached. Quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, experimental, analytical, and other appropriate research approaches may be considered, provided that the methodology is suitable for the research objectives.

Review and Conceptual Papers

Review articles should provide a systematic, critical, and well-organised examination of existing scholarship rather than merely summarising previously published literature. Where applicable, authors should clearly explain their search strategy, selection criteria, analytical approach, and limitations. Conceptual and theoretical papers should present a clearly defined argument, demonstrate engagement with relevant literature, and explain their theoretical or conceptual contribution to the field.

Tables, Figures and Other Materials

Tables and figures should be used where they contribute meaningfully to the presentation or interpretation of the research. Each table and figure should have an appropriate number and descriptive title and should be referred to in the main text. Authors should ensure that all data, illustrations, diagrams, photographs, and other materials are accurate, appropriately labelled, and of suitable quality for publication. Sources should be acknowledged wherever materials are derived from previously published or external sources.

Citations and References

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources cited in the manuscript are accurately acknowledged and that every in-text citation corresponds to an entry in the reference list. References should be presented consistently according to the journal's prescribed referencing style. Authors should verify the accuracy of author names, publication details, titles, journal names, volume and issue information, page numbers, DOI information, and other bibliographic details before submission. Authors are encouraged to cite relevant primary and authoritative sources and should avoid unnecessary or excessive self-citation.

Research Ethics

Authors must ensure that research involving human participants, personal data, animals, or other ethically sensitive material has been conducted in accordance with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Where ethical approval or informed consent is required, appropriate information should be provided in the manuscript. Authors should maintain the confidentiality and privacy of research participants and should not disclose personally identifiable information without appropriate permission.

Originality and Plagiarism

Manuscripts submitted to Prism must be original and must not contain plagiarised, copied, or improperly attributed material. Authors should appropriately acknowledge the ideas, words, data, methods, and other contributions of previous researchers. Substantial duplication of an author's own previously published work should also be avoided. The journal may use appropriate similarity-detection and editorial procedures to assess the originality of submitted manuscripts.

Artificial Intelligence and Manuscript Preparation
